Sterling Silver Turquoise Nugget Ring - Size 8.5

One of the most unusual rings I've ever come across. The ornate face with feathers, scrolls, flowers, and a huge, bright blue turquoise nugget, was soldered onto a sterling cutout butterfly ring. And actually - it works. It looks like the top section might have been a pendant and possibly Native American made. No marks so it cannot be authenticated as such. It's big and heavy and really quite amazing. Works as an index finger ring on smaller hands. Turquoise has black matrix and a lightly buffed finish. It does not appear to be treated.

♦ Dimensions: Size 8.5 (18.6 inner diameter). Nugget is approximately 20 x 16 x 15 mm. Ring face is 24 x 20.5 mm (1 x .75 inches), and rises 15 mm off the base. Back band is 4 mm. Weight is 16.5 grams.

♦ Markings: The butterfly ring is marked 925 (sterling silver). Ring face tests as silver and has no reaction to a rare earth magnet.
