Designed by Daoust Lestage, the Drummondville campus building of UQTR reflects a forward-thinking approach to educational architecture. STEKAR installed its STE-6000 curtain wall system on the main façades, including the central atrium and student common areas, creating large glazed surfaces that showcase campus life and allow abundant natural light inside.

These curtain walls are engineered with triple glazing and thermally broken frames, ensuring high thermal insulation suited to institutional buildings in the Québec climate. Complementing the glass, the envelope incorporates aluminum windows and perforated glazing within brick and panel sections, respecting the urban context while offering operable windows for natural ventilation. Carefully executed detailing manages condensation and ensures acoustic insulation from exterior noise.

The result is a contemporary, high-performance building envelope that combines openness with technical resilience, providing students with a welcoming and sustainable learning environment.
