Curtain walls STE-6000
This large-format Brault & Martineau retail store underwent major construction work in 2020, resulting in the creation of an 85,650-square-foot showroom in Kirkland. The façade, designed by Coarchitecture, uses STEKAR’s STE-6000 curtain wall system across the entire length of the store’s frontage. The double-height glass curtain wall brings natural light deep into the showroom and offers unobstructed visibility from the Trans-Canada Highway, functioning as a giant display window.
To complement the curtain wall, the building incorporates precast concrete elements and metal panels that frame the glazing and give the façade a subtle, contemporary look. This combination ensures durability and thermal efficiency: low-emissivity glass panels and insulated spandrels help maintain interior comfort. STEKAR’s manufactured façade also included integrated automatic sliding glass entrances and large display windows.
The technically sophisticated façade system strengthens the brand’s presence with its bright, modern look while meeting the functional demands of a high-traffic commercial environment.
