Curtain walls STE-6000
This high school located in the LaSalle borough of Montréal stands out for its dynamic façade featuring Stekar’s STE-6000 curtain wall system. Designed by a consortium (Lemay, Leclerc, and PRISME), the project incorporates expansive curtain wall glazing at the main entrance and in the shared common areas. These large glass walls flood the interior spaces with natural light, creating a strong connection between students and the surrounding neighborhood.
In other sections, the curtain wall is paired with brightly colored opaque panels, adding a playful and engaging touch to the exterior. The combination of transparent glazing and bold panel accents gives the school a contemporary identity suited to an educational environment. On the technical side, the curtain wall façade provides excellent thermal performance and safety glazing, ensuring energy efficiency and a comfortable learning atmosphere.
Overall, the building envelope balances transparency and insulation, embodying a modern school design focused on sustainability and student well-being.
