The headquarters and operations center of the Société de transport de Sherbrooke, located on Cabana Street, features a robust building envelope combining Multifaçades panels, STE-6000 curtain walls, and an aluminum rainscreen cladding. Cimaise Architectes designed the facility with large curtain wall bays at the main entrance and lobby, allowing natural light to illuminate both public and administrative areas.
These glazed sections are complemented by extensive insulated metal panels (in the company’s colors) that wrap the garage and maintenance zones, providing the thermal performance required for industrial functions. STEKAR’s façade installation ensures exceptional airtightness and long-term durability, capable of withstanding heavy use and vibrations generated by bus traffic. Solar-control devices were also integrated into the curtain wall elevations to reduce glare in office spaces.
By combining high-performance glazing and cladding systems, the building presents a modern, professional appearance for the transit authority while improving energy efficiency and workplace comfort. It stands as a symbol of the city’s commitment to sustainable public infrastructure.
